WHAT YOU’LL DO
Your responsibilities
Design, test, and operate APIs and event-driven backend services.
Improve observability, data integrity, performance, and fault tolerance.
Collaborate with product, frontend, infrastructure, and security teammates.
Write maintainable code, tests, runbooks, and technical documentation.
Participate in on-call learning and improve systems after incidents.
Protect customer data through secure defaults and careful engineering decisions.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Experience and capabilities
Professional backend development experience with typed languages and SQL.
Understanding of API design, queues, testing, and cloud operations.
Thoughtful code review, debugging, and technical communication habits.
A practical understanding of security, privacy, and production reliability.
Ability to break complex work into safe, reviewable increments.
