This Privacy Policy describes how Yell Social (“Yell Social,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards personal information when you visit yellsocial.com, use our social media management services, communicate with us, or interact with Yell AI.
If you use Yell Social through an organization, that organization may control your workspace and the content processed within it. Its own privacy practices may also apply.
What this policy covers
This policy applies to our website, dashboard, installable web app, support experiences, and features for planning, publishing, engagement, reviews, reporting, AI assistance, and connected services. It does not govern a social network or third-party app you choose to connect; those providers operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
Information we collect
Account and workspace
Name, email address, organization, plan selection, preferences, team roles, newsletter subscriptions, support requests, and other details you provide.
Social and content data
Authorized profile information, posts, drafts, media, comments, messages, mentions, reviews, publishing metadata, and performance metrics.
Usage and device data
IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, link interactions, approximate location derived from IP, timestamps, diagnostics, and security logs.
Local preferences
Dashboard layout and chat-launcher preferences saved in your browser. Removing browser storage may reset these choices.
Information from other sources
We may receive information from an identity provider, a connected social network, an integration you authorize, your organization’s workspace administrator, or public business sources. The information depends on your settings and approved permissions.
Billing information
If paid subscriptions become available, payment information will be collected and processed by the provider shown at checkout. Yell Social may receive transaction details such as plan, status, amount, and billing contact, but does not need to store full payment-card numbers.
Yell AI and support
We process questions submitted to Yell AI and information included in support communications to provide answers and assistance. Do not submit passwords, payment-card numbers, sensitive personal information, or confidential social-network credentials.
Website measurement and owner reporting
Website measurement is enabled by default across Yell Social pages unless you opt out. We record visited pages, clicked links and controls, approximate active time, scroll depth, device and browser category, referring website, campaign tags, IP address, and approximate location provided by our hosting network. We do not record passwords, payment-card details, form field values, keystrokes, or screen recordings. Browser privacy signals turn optional measurement off. Use the Privacy choices button and select Essential only to turn measurement off.
Account registrations, trial dates, newsletter consent, and confirmed payment receipts are retained to operate the service. IP addresses may accompany these records and support requests for account security and support, even when optional measurement is off. Yell AI support messages and retained Yell Messenger conversations are available to the Yell Social site owner for support, safety, and service administration. Owner reviews of transcripts and report exports are logged.
Detailed website measurement is retained for 180 days. Raw IP addresses in these records are removed after 30 days. Support conversations are retained for up to 365 days after the last message. Workspace conversation retention follows account settings and deletion controls. Measurement starts when enabled; past browsing activity is not reconstructed.
How we use information
- Provide the service: administer workspaces, authenticate users, connect authorized accounts, publish at your direction, display conversations, and prepare analytics.
- Secure Yell Social: prevent abuse, investigate suspicious activity, enforce our terms, troubleshoot, and protect the platform.
- Support and communicate: answer questions and send operational, account, billing, security, or policy notices.
- Improve the experience: understand feature usage, diagnose performance, evaluate accessibility, and develop improvements.
- Comply with law: maintain required records and respond to valid legal requests.
Where law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of a contract, legitimate interests, compliance with legal obligations, and consent. You may withdraw consent where processing relies on it without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Connected social networks and integrations
When you authorize a connection, Yell Social requests permissions needed for the features you select. Depending on the provider, these may allow the service to read profile or performance data, retrieve engagement activity, or publish content at your direction. We do not ask you to give us your social-network password.
You control the connection
Disconnect an account through Yell Social when available or revoke access in the provider’s security settings. Revoking access stops future collection through that authorization but does not automatically delete information already retained for legitimate purposes.
Content published to a social network may remain there after it is removed from Yell Social. Contact the relevant network directly to manage content it continues to host.
How long we retain information
We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, preserve account history, meet legal or financial obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce agreements. Retention varies by data type, workspace settings, contract requirements, and law.
When information is no longer needed, we delete, de-identify, or securely dispose of it. Backup copies may remain for a limited period. Aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify you may be retained for analytics and service improvement.
How we safeguard information
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. These may include encrypted transport, managed authentication, access controls, monitoring, vendor review, and security-event procedures. Yell Social uses secure ChatGPT sign-in and does not receive or store a separate Yell Social password.
No method of storage or internet transmission is completely secure. Protect your identity-provider and connected-network accounts, review authorized applications periodically, and notify us if you believe your workspace has been compromised.
Your privacy rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or an objection to certain processing. You may also have the right to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or sharing as defined by applicable law, and to appeal a decision about your request.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted, but we may require proof of authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
Communications
You may opt out of marketing messages using the unsubscribe method included in the message. You may still receive service, security, billing, and other non-marketing communications.
Regional and additional disclosures
United States
State privacy laws may provide additional rights regarding access, correction, deletion, portability, and certain data-sharing practices. Yell Social will respond to verified requests as required by applicable law.
EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland
Where these laws apply, Yell Social may act as a controller for account, website, and business-relationship data and as a processor when handling workspace content for a customer organization. You may have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
International processing
Yell Social and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries where privacy laws may differ. Where required, we use recognized safeguards for international transfers.
Children’s privacy
Yell Social is a business service and is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where local law requires it. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child submitted personal information.

Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Yell Social, our providers, or applicable laws change. We will post the revised policy here, update the effective date, and provide additional notice when required.
Before processing real customer data, taking payments, or launching additional integrations, qualified counsel should confirm that this policy matches the company’s actual operations and obligations.
